Our Story
Artilate was born in Airdrie, Alberta, to connect Canadian chocolate lovers with the true essence of Colombian cacao. With a background in microbiology and food safety, our founder Ingrit Johanna Jaimes blends precision, passion, and heritage in every creation. From bean to bar, each chocolate is crafted in small batches, with ethical sourcing at its core.
How It Started
Artilate’s journey began with cacao farmers in the mountains of Santander, Colombia. Families like Zoneidy’s welcomed us into their plantations, where tradition and dedication shaped the cacao that inspires every bar we create today.
What started as experiments in a Calgary kitchen evolved into a bean-to-bar chocolate brand recognized for quality. From our very first booth at Crossroads Farmers Market, Artilate has grown while staying true to its values: passion, precision, and respect for tradition.
